Research and Youth Participation Resources

Resources are organized into three groups: research, fact sheets, and youth participation resources.

Research

AHS Provincial and Regional Reports: Reports from AHS IV (2008), AHS III (2003), AHS II (1998), and AHS I (1992).

Special Groups and Topic Reports: Surveys of specific populations of youth are referred to as "special groups" (ie, street youth, youth in custody centres, sexually exploited youth, etc.). Topic Reports are in-depth secondary analysis of school-based AHS II data. Topics include a closer look at issues like smoking, weight issues, Aboriginal youth in school, Chinese youth in school, etc.

Fact Sheets and Powerpoint Presentations

A series of fact sheets on a variety of topics from the 2008 AHS IV will be added to the site by September 2010. Keep checking back for updates!

Fact Sheets offer research results on a variety of topics using the most recent Adolescent Health Survey data. Some of the Fact Sheets offer a summary of a more detailed report written on a particular topic area. Others, such as the Marijuana Fact Sheet, present detailed analysis only published in the Fact Sheet. McCreary grants permission to duplicate these fact sheets.
