YACshops: workshops by youth, for youth
Created as resources for facilitators of varying experience levels, these workshops were designed, written and tested by a number of McCreary's Youth Advisory Council (YAC) members. Whether you're a first time facilitators or a seasoned pro, each YACshop manual is easy to use.
Included in each manual:
- Instructions on preparing for the workshops
- Step-by-step guide to facilitating the workshop
- All the overheads and handouts required for the workshop
- An "appendix" full of ice-breaker activities

So You Wanna YAC This YACshop focuses on young people involved in youth councils or committees become better volunteers. Participants are introduced to the skills need to start and run a successful group. |

Introduction To Leadership This YACshop helps young people to increase their confidence and leadership skills. Participants will learn about the fundamentals of leadership and begin the process of exploring their own leadership potential. |

Taking Leadership to the Next Level This YACshop helps young people to increase their existing leadership skills. Participants become familiar with and learn new ways to overcome challenges faced by young leaders in today's society. |

Creativity & You! Learn how to improve your creativity and how creativity can be applied to problem solving in this YACshop. Participants are given opportunities and ideas about how to look at things differently and what questions to ask themselves to help make their work and everyday lives more creative. |
